GEELONG BOTANIC GARDENS
The Botanic Gardens in Geelong must be one of the best smaller botanic gardens in Australia. It was opened in 1850 as part of a larger site encompassing Eastern Park. The two bollards that I featured for the cartouche are of Daniel Bunce, the first curator of the park and an unknown lady.
There are many historic trees to discover here. You will also find two vintage fountains, and a conservatory. Today, the garden is really in two parts. The original garden and the 21st Century Garden, which today serves as the entrance.
